On 21st April 2023, Year 1 visited Hillier Gardens.  It was a bit rainy but Year 1 made the most of it!  They completed activities including pond dipping, making a caterpillar from different smelling plants and helping the bee choose which plants to pollinate!  

These are some comments from the children about the trip:

Ava- I loved pond dipping because you get to catch and see new animals

Rosalie- My favourite bit was seed Sal using the coin because I liked reading all the sheets about what happened to the seeds

Chloe- I loved it all but the best bit was pond dipping because you can see what bugs you get...we got some newts!

Maggie May- My best bit was the ponds because I like catching fish and animals

Harrison- I like playing the bee game and seeing it eat my nectar!
